Watch we will win HDtoday. Using footage shot by Popović in 1966, Filmske novosti produced “Venceremos (We Will Win)”, directed by Miodrag Zdravković, who led the Film Unit in Tanzania. Shot on 35mm, it is the first documentary about FRELIMO, chronicling their struggle against colonial rule. The film shows daily life in FRELIMO-controlled areas, highlighting military training and how guerrillas spread news. Completed in October 1967, it was presented to President Edward Mondlane and President Tito and gifted to the Tanzanian government.
